Navarro-LATA, LLC Awarded Waste Management Services Contract at Y-12 National Security Complex

OAK RIDGE, TN (August 2026) – Navarro-LATA, LLC is pleased to announce they have been awarded the Waste Management Services subcontract supporting the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE)/National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA).


Navarro-LATA, LLC is a Navarro-led joint venture between Navarro Research & Engineering, Inc. (Navarro) and Los Alamos Technical Associates, Inc (LATA), two award-winning, women-owned small businesses leaders in the nuclear and environmental industries.


Leveraging the expertise of both companies, Navarro-LATA has over 80 years of combined experience in nuclear operations, waste management, environmental remediation, engineering and technical services serving clients across the U.S.


Navarro-LATA will provide comprehensive waste management and treatment operations that support critical national security missions across the Oak Ridge Reservation. The contract has a ceiling value of $160 million over eight years, with a three-year base and five one-year extension options.

Transition activities began on July 30, 2026 and Navarro-LATA will assume operations on October 1, 2026.
