Albuquerque, NM — June 2, 2026 — Los Alamos Technical Associates, Inc. (LATA), a leading provider of environmental, engineering, nuclear, and technical services for over 50 years, is expanding the availability of its environmental data validation and data management services to partners and clients across federal, defense, and commercial markets.

For decades, LATA has performed data validation as an integral part of its environmental restoration, long-term monitoring, waste management, and regulatory compliance projects. As environmental programs increasingly rely on complex laboratory datasets, electronic data deliverables, emerging contaminant analyses, and enterprise data systems, LATA is now offering these services as a focused capability to help clients turn raw analytical results into defensible, decision-ready information.

The expanded offering is managed by Cory Tackett, Associate Vice President, Department of War (DoW) Programs, who leads LATA’s efforts to bring this proven project capability to a broader client and partner base.

“Environmental decisions are only as strong as the data behind them,” Cory Tackett emphasizes. “LATA has long provided data validation on our projects to support regulatory compliance, remedy performance, risk assessment, and site closure. Expanding this service allows us to bring that same rigor, experience, and practical insight directly to our partners and clients.”

LATA’s data validation services go beyond basic compliance checks. The company evaluates whether data are technically valid, usable for project-specific decisions, and aligned with regulatory expectations. Services include analytical data quality review, data usability assessments, Data Quality Objective support, EDD preparation and submission, automated QA/QC workflows, database integration, GIS-ready outputs, and regulator-ready reporting.

LATA supports validation across major analytical groups, including VOCs, SVOCs, metals, PCBs, petroleum hydrocarbons, radiochemistry, general chemistry, PFAS, and other emerging contaminants. The company also brings experience with federal and agency data systems, including EQuIS, ERPIMS, ERIS, NIRIS, FUDSChem, and custom project databases.

This expanded offering builds on LATA’s long-standing work supporting U.S. Department of Energy, Department of War, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. Air Force, NAVFAC, EPA-driven programs, commercial, and industrial clients. By combining technical chemistry expertise, environmental program knowledge, and modern data management tools, LATA helps clients improve traceability, reduce uncertainty, and make confident decisions based on defensible data.

“Clients need more than validated numbers,” Tackett added. “They need to know what those results mean, whether limitations matter, and how the data support the next project decision. That is where LATA’s experience makes a difference.”

LATA’s expanded Data Validation services are available to prime contractors, teaming partners, federal agencies, and commercial clients seeking scalable, independent, and defensible environmental data review.
