NEPA
LATA has managed and supported dozens of Programmatic, Sitewide, Supplemental and project-specific Environmental Impact Statements (EISs), Environmental Assessments (EAs) and another NEPA actions for DOD, DOE and other federal agencies supporting new programs, new construction, change of mission, transfer of property and other activities.
DEACTIVATION & DEMOLITION
LATA is a leading provider of deactivation and demolition (D&D) services. LATA provides services for commercial clients, as well as the Department of Defense and Department Energy, addressing hazardous and radionuclide contaminated buildings and appurtenances coupled with waste management services.
DEPARTMENT OF WAR
LATA has been a leading service technical service provider for the Department of War (formerly Department of Defense) for more than 35 years. LATA has held contracts with several U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Districts and has held several U.S. Department of Air Force and U.S. Navy contracts.
DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY
LATA has a long history of working with the U.S. Department of Energy and its prime contractors on numerous projects covering a wide range of scope. LATA served as the prime contractor for the characterization, D&D, and waste disposition at the K-33 building at the East Tennessee Technology Park. LATA, as LATA/Parallax Portsmouth, LLC, was the prime M&O contractor at the Portsmouth Site for nuclear facility operations, including the remediation, deactivation, decontamination, demolition of inactive facilities. We provided the engineering, nuclear facility operations, analytical lab, and environmental management for the Paducah Deactivation and Remediation Project. As part of the Legacy Management Program, LATA performed the D&D, engineering, and waste management and disposition of the Converted Advanced Wastewater Treatment Facility at the Fernald Preserve Site. LATA is currently supporting Los Alamos National Laboratory, Sandia National Laboratories, Pantex, and the Y-12 National Security Complex.

With over 45 years of engineering and environmental experience, LATA has a long history of working with the U.S. Department of Energy and Department of Defense on numerous projects covering a wide range of scope. With office locations across the continental United States, LATA is poised to use it experience as a prime contractor and/or subcontractor to support the regulatory and operational needs of our customers.
GROUNDWATER
LATA has performed full life‐cycle services for groundwater and construction water treatment systems for 50 years. Our systems treat a wide variety of chemical and radiological groundwater contaminates at some of our nations’ largest and most complex contaminated groundwater sites for commercial and government clients such as the Department of Energy, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and various municipalities and universities. LATA’s systems have treated over 20 billion gallons of groundwater contaminated with VOCs, metals such as Beryllium and PFASs, and radionuclides such as U238. Our geologists and hydrogeologists determine the extent of contamination, design extraction and treatment systems, develop and apply models to optimize performance and operate the systems to treat the groundwater.
NUCLEAR
LATA has a distinguished history of collaboration with the U.S. Department of Energy and prime contractors. Notably, we served as the prime contractor for the K-33 building’s comprehensive D&D and waste disposition at the East Tennessee Technology Park. Operating as LATA/Parallax Portsmouth, LLC, we oversaw nuclear facility operations at the Portsmouth Site, including remediation and demolition. We also provided essential services for the Paducah Deactivation and Remediation Project. As part of the Legacy Management Program, we handled D&D, engineering, and waste management for the Converted Advanced Wastewater Treatment Facility at the Fernald Preserve Site. Presently, LATA actively supports Los Alamos National Laboratory, Sandia National Laboratories, Pantex, and the Y-12 National Security Complex. LATA also supports the emerging nuclear energy sector for companies such as Kairos Power and Orano.
