Albuquerque, NM – October 13, 2025 – Los Alamos Technical Associates, Inc. (LATA), a business specializing in environmental and engineering solutions that protect people and natural resources, is proud to announce its national certification as a Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) by Women’s Business Council WBC - Southwest, a regional certifying partner of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). WBENC Certification is the gold standard for women-owned business certifications in the United States.

“Earning the WBENC certification is an exciting milestone for LATA and a powerful complement to our SBA Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) certification,” said Robin Beard, President & CEO of LATA. “This achievement strengthens our ability to support our clients’ supplier diversity goals across both the public and private sectors while continuing our mission to build a clean and sustainable future. We’re proud to be part of a growing network of women-owned companies driving innovation.”

The WBENC standard of certification implemented by WBC Southwest is a meticulous process, including an in-depth review of the business and a site inspection. This process confirms that the business is at least 51% owned, operated, and controlled by a woman or women and demonstrates strong structure, leadership, and strategic planning.

By including women-owned businesses among their suppliers, corporations and government agencies demonstrate their commitment to fostering diversity and developing inclusive supply chains that empower women as leaders helping to build a more diverse, balanced, and sustainable economy.

LATA’s WBENC and SBA WOSB certifications expand its opportunities to collaborate with clients who value supplier diversity, equity, and sustainability. With 50 years of experience supporting federal, state, and private sector projects, LATA continues to provide innovative, multidisciplinary solutions to complex environmental challenges, anchored by its core values of Safety, Service, and Relationships.
