LATA is the only named teaming subcontractor to Salado Isolation Mining Contractors, LLC (SIMCO), the Management and Operating (M&O) contractor for the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) near Carlsbad, NM. LATA provides specialized environmental, regulatory, waste management, analytical, quality assurance, and operational support that helps advance WIPP’s mission of safely disposing of defense-generated transuranic (TRU) waste.
 

Our personnel support operations at WIPP and waste generator sites across the Department of Energy complex. Working as an integrated member of the SIMCO team, LATA helps maintain regulatory compliance, strengthen program performance, and support the safe and uninterrupted characterization, certification, transportation, and disposal of TRU waste.
