ROBERT "BOB" GIROIR, PMP

Executive Vice President

Southeast Programs

Robert (Bob) serves LATA as Executive Vice President, Southeast Programs, for evaluating growth opportunities in the DOE-EM and DoD market and assessing LATA’s performance in project execution and adherence to company policies and procedures.

 

Bob is a retired Army Officer with 22 years of service with the Regular Army and Army Reserves. He brings 35 years of experience in engineering and construction of complex nuclear facilities, as well as facility management, chemical plant operations, and facility S&M at five DOE facilities and five UK NDA nuclear sites.

 

Prior to joining LATA Bob served Atkins for 17 years as Senior Operations Director, Plant Manager at the Portsmouth DUF6 Conversion Facility, Vice President of Southeast Operations, Deputy Managing Director Magnox Nuclear Facilities, General Manager Savannah River Site (SRS) Waste Management Area Project, Manager of Projects Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant, and Project Director for Waste Disposition Support at the Fernald Closure Project.

 

Prior to joining Atkins, Bob served Fluor as Senior Project Manager, Hanford Analytical Laboratories and Project Manager, Hanford Solid Waste Operations.

 

Bob has an exceptional record of achievement including serving in executive and project management roles at nuclear facilities; instilling a culture centered on Human Performance Improvement, establishing the Portsmouth site’s first combined Union Safety Committee; accelerating the SRS Waste Management Project by increasing throughput for TRU waste drum remediation and achieving no lost-time incidents during 4.2 million work hours at Fernald.

 

Bob has a Master of Business Administration from Seattle City University and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Management from Kennedy-Western University.
