NEW MEXICO ABANDONED URANIUM MINE RECLAMATION

Through the ERRG-LATA Joint Venture, LATA and Engineering/Remediation Resources Group, Inc. support the New Mexico Environment Department (NMED) in addressing environmental and public safety concerns associated with legacy uranium mining sites in the Grants Mining District. Our multidisciplinary team provides the technical, environmental, engineering, and field services needed to evaluate site conditions, develop practical reclamation strategies, and implement solutions that protect surrounding communities and natural resources. The ERRG-LATA JV works collaboratively with regulators, landowners, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to safely advance projects from initial assessment through reclamation and project closeout.

The purpose and goal of this work is to provide timely, high-quality professional environmental consulting and construction services at uranium mining-impacted sites. These services include multi-media environmental site assessments and investigations (remedial investigations), risk assessments, cleanup alternatives analyses (feasibility studies), reclamation activities such as construction of physical safeguards and mine opening closures, cost planning, and final closeout surveys.
