LATA has provided nuclear safety analysis and authorization basis support to our federal agency clients for more than thirty years. Our staff of nuclear engineers, safety analysts, and technical writers are highly experienced in federal regulations for hazard analysis and DOE orders, guidance and technical standards for safety basis development and implementation. LATA maintains an extensive historical knowledge base of current and former weapons complex facilities including Portsmouth, Fernald, Pantex, Idaho, Hanford, Rocky Flats, Mound, Los Alamos National Laboratory, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Sandia National Laboratories, the Savannah River Site, and the Nevada Test Site. We have also provided nuclear weapons safety analysis to various Department of Defense agencies. We maintain staff qualified in:

LATA’s history has spanned the changing environments of operational readiness and DOE quality assurance requirements. Over the past decade, LATA staff has been involved in multiple facility startups and restarts across the DOE complex, including facilities at the Nevada Test Site and Los Alamos National Laboratory.
