Regulatory Support

Regulatory Support

LATA has been providing solutions to regulatory and environmental compliance challenges on complex projects for both the private and government business sectors since its inception. Our capabilities and experience span Environmental Assessments, Environmental Baseline Surveys, Environmental Site Assessments, and Environmental Impact Statements, as well as compliance with local, state and federal regulations such as CERCLA, RCRA, NEPA, the Clean Water Act, Safe Drinking Water Act, Toxic Substances Control Act, NPDES, and EPA, DOE, and DoD requirements. We have in-depth knowledge of the differences in regulatory requirements and practices across the country and throughout the DOE Complex. We maintain primary office locations from Washington State to Washington, D.C.

We are expert in the regulatory process and can assist clients in negotiating a successful regulatory path. If desired, we can perform the actual negotiation – that is, present our client’s position – to the regulatory communities and stakeholders, or support our clients in negotiations or litigation with technically sound project approaches, data collection and analysis, reports, presentations, or other products.

LATA uses the flexibilities of each regulatory framework to optimize project outcomes, save our clients money, and eliminate environmental liabilities. We have worked with state, regional, and local regulatory agencies across the nation and have successfully negotiated with many regulatory agencies for the acceptance of risk-based and innovative solutions that have streamlined remediation and eliminated the need for long-term remedial actions.
