Los Alamos Technical Associates, Inc. (LATA) is a diversified engineering, environmental, and technical services company serving a worldwide client base. Founded in Los Alamos, New Mexico, LATA’s core capabilities are focused in four primary service areas:

Nuclear: LATA provides project management, facility operations and maintenance, remediation, D&D, waste management, and project services for the Department of Energy, the National Nuclear Security Administration, other federal clients, and DOE prime contractors. Our nuclear business focus includes management of nuclear facilities, nuclear safety and facility startup, environmental remediation, and nuclear processing and handling operations involving plutonium, uranium, and tritium, as well as low-level, high-level, mixed, and transuranic waste.

Environmental: LATA provides environmental services for commercial and government clients. We have successfully self-performed complex environmental restoration projects within every U.S. regulatory region and are industry leaders in contaminated soils and groundwater remediation. Our expertise includes facility assessments, facility investigations, remedial investigations, environmental analyses, fate and transport studies, time critical removal actions, groundwater modeling, design and operation of remediation systems, regulatory negotiation, long term site management, remote system operation, and system optimization.

Defense and Security: LATA supports U.S. Department of Defense, U.S. Department of State, and other federal agency programs worldwide. We provide expertise in the areas of security systems, advanced logistics planning, weapons system engineering, border security, and counterproliferation/export controls. We maintain a cadre of former military members experienced in both conventional ordnance and nuclear weapons. Our services include integrated security systems design and implementation, high-end logistics engineering, studies and analyses, simulation, training, test planning, and test conduct for ground and space systems. We also assist government and commercial clients in the execution of existing and future export control, counter proliferation, and national security programs.

Engineering: Our core staff comprises civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, software, systems, environmental, chemical, process, instrumentation, and nuclear safety engineers, with specialty disciplines in process engineering and controls, logistics, energy management, and information technology. More than 40% of LATA technical personnel hold advanced degrees. Our focus is the development of innovative solutions for complex engineering challenges associated with environmental remediation, nuclear facility operations and D&D, industrial process engineering and control, energy management, renewal energy systems, design of critical security systems, and delivery of integrated IT and communication services.
