Founded in New Mexico in 1976, Los Alamos Technical Associates provides technical and project management services to a varied clientèle including federal agencies, state governments, municipalities, and a broad range of private sector industrial clients. In the 1970s, the company’s core business focused on the design, installation and operation of highly specialized systems and processes for Special Nuclear Materials handling. LATA then expanded throughout the 1980s into communication systems design and test for defense applications, and in the early 1990s into the environmental services arena, performing some of the most challenging Superfund site remediation efforts in the country as well as some of the most challenging site and facility closure projects in the nation’s Nuclear Weapons Complex.

LATA Completes Building Removals at DOE’s Paducah Site
LATA, cleanup contractor for the Office of Environmental Management's Paducah site, recently completed demolition of the last of 32 inactive facilities to be removed as part of the cleanup scope that existed before commercial uranium enrichment operations ended at the Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant and the plant facilities were returned to DOE.
